A clean, well decorated home with good, quality bed linen and towels are often seen as the most important things for our guests, but we know from experience that it is all the additional attention to detail that result in our guests appreciating a “home from home” experience. It doesn’t take much extra effort to ensure that we offer the best we can to all of our guests.  A well-equipped home, a comfortable, tidy and maintained outside area and activities available for guests to enjoy are all just as important to people.  


Simply Rye can offer a regular service to manage your home for you throughout the year or one-off advice to assess your home and make recommendations on small improvements that may make a big difference to your future bookings and guests.  


We work with a small team of trusted, local housekeeping, maintenance and tradesmen from the Rye area and are happy to quote on any jobs that we can do to help you run your home with the least amount of effort.

All of the below are examples of what we can include in a management package for you or individually charged on a one-off basis.  We are here to help and hopefully take some of the strain out of running a second home.  We will tailor our services to suit your needs and budget and can be adaptable as your needs change.  There is no minimum contract period with us, so we can be as flexible as you need us to be.  



There are many good housekeeping companies already in the Rye area, but if you are looking to change your service provider we can discuss offering a full and detailed clean of your home ensuring that it is always ready for your next guests.  


We will assess your home and agree a set fee for each changeover required and discuss any additional jobs you would like us to do for you.  


Washing and ironing can be arranged at an additional fee.  We recommend owners have 3 sets of their own linens and towels to be used and rotated ensuring there is always enough available for a last-minute booking.


From experience, we understand the need to check light bulbs, blocked sinks/showers, clean out and defrost fridge/freezers, clean ovens, washing machines and dishwashers.  We can arrange a monthly or quarterly visit to maintain all of the above and discuss any other jobs you may want included.  

We can also arrange for regular rubbish collection and window cleaning as required.  


We believe this area of your property is as important as the inside of the house and offer a service to maintain it.  Regular grass cutting, flower bed maintenance, dead heading, watering, BBQ cleaning can all be arranged.  We are happy to pick flowers from the garden to welcome your guests.  Planting spring, summer and autumn pots.  Patio/decking/furniture power washing, care and painting can also be arranged.  


We can also organise swimming pool and hot tub maintenance if required. 


We can carry out a general review of your home covering the general living and outside space, equipment and general decoration and provide you with a full report to then discuss with you.  This would include our recommendations and projected costs to improve your home.  We can organise for all the work and equipment to be managed by us on a set cost basis.  Often a pair of fresh eyes can pick up on things that we don’t notice ourselves in our homes!  


For many holiday home owners, they only like to rent out their home in high season.  We offer a complete opening and closing service at any time of the year and can also offer a winter maintenance programme if your house is left unoccupied for long periods.   


We can organise jobs that need doing in the quieter months like turning mattresses, washing duvets and pillows, touch up decorating and any other general maintenance required.  We can also handle meter readings, post re-direction and anything else that needs doing.  Opening or closing inventories can be carried out to ensure that everything required by future guests is still in place.


In preparation for the winter months, we can arrange a chimney sweep, a delivery and stacking of logs, carpet cleaning and even put up your Christmas decorations if required!  Boiler services and Gas Safety Certificates can also be handled for you.


Property Information Notes and tourist leaflets can be put together for you.  Welcome Packs of food, drink etc. or just general supplies can also be supplied.  We can also rent out travel cots, high chairs and stair gates and deliver them to your home for your guests.


To offer you and your guests’ peace of mind 24/7 we would be your first point of contact. Working with a network of reliable and trustworthy local tradesmen we would be you or your guests first point of contact and would hopefully be able to resolve the issue without too much fuss.


We recommend owners have a key safe at their properties to allow guests a flexible check in if arriving late, but we offer a key holding service to hold spare keys in case of a lost key.  We can change key safe codes periodically at your request.  


As there are so many holiday companies around offering a booking service to owners, this is not something we intend to offer on a full scale.  However, having marketed our own properties we are more than happy to review your current marketing and offer advice where applicable.

With many properties in Rye having limited rubbish storage and collection, we can offer a rubbish collection service.
